Podium
Podium is an Amsterdam based publishing house for contemporary fiction and quality non fiction.
Podium is independent and founded in 1997. The authors of Podium (two third Dutch, one third foreign) are known as writers with an original style and tone of voice, and strong opinions about the world around us. Some Dutch authors have been widely translated, as Ray Kluun and Joris Luyendijk. The other way around Podium is proud publisher of writers as Jon Bauer, Breyten Breytenbach, Stuart Evers, Michel Faber, Johan Harstad, Manu Joseph, Antjie Krog, DBC Pierre, Adam Ross, Niki Segnit, Uwe Timm and Yan Lianke.
Podium, a company with 10 employees, always tried to combine added value in terms of editing with marketing strategies, focussed on a very selected amount of authors. Till today this has proven to be a succesful strategy.
