De Geus
De Geus is an independent publishing house established in 1983 specialized in international and Dutch literature, crime and quality nonfiction.
We publish ca. 90 new titles per year, of which 65% is translated and 35% is original Dutch work. Among them are for instance Henning Mankell, Hertha Müller, Wisława Szymborska, Antonio Munoz Molina, Alice Munro, Yasmina Khadra, Alberto Manguel, Naomi Klein, Kader Abdolah, Kristien Hemmerechts, Annelies Verbeke, Charles den Tex, and many others. Chinese authors we publish are Yu Hua, Bi Feiyu, Ha Jin, Su Tong, Hong Ying, Jie Zhang, and others. We publish voices from different cultures and backgrounds, with the main focus on high quality.
